Excelsior Care Group's Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking an RN/LPN Supervisor for the overnight shift to lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care.

This full-time role collaborates with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, mentors RNs/LPNs/CNAs, maintains regulatory compliance, and drives safety and accurate documentation across shifts.

Qualifications

• NJ RN or LPN licensure is required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative or restorative nursing.
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department operations during the overnight shift.
• Support the DON and ADON in maintaining high standards of resident care.

• Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage throughout the shift.

• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room readiness.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and charting.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal requirements.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns promptly.

Position: RN/LPN Supervisor – Full-Time
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $45–$52 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

The RN/LPN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations and resident care during the overnight shift. Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), the Supervisor will provide clinical leadership, support nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safe, professional, resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performance
• Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage throughout the shift
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely clinical interventions
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room readiness
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and clinical charting
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal requirements
• Participate in surveys, audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, resident concerns, and grievances
• Ensure completion of narcotic counts and emergency equipment and safety checks
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Assist with maintaining continuity and quality of care across shifts

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of New Jersey
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
• At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative or restorative nursing
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
