Job summary

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking an RN Supervisor to join our leadership team. This full‑time role directs nursing operations during the 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift, guiding RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

You will partner with the DON and ADON to monitor care plans, conduct rounds, oversee documentation, and participate in audits while fostering a positive, professional workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative or restorative nursing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Support the DON and ADON in managing and overseeing nursing department operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and policies.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance.
• Assist with staffing coordination to ensure optimal coverage and quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on resident care planning and updates.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and families regarding care needs.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Oversee documentation, charting accuracy, and MDS completion.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and grievances with professionalism and urgency.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and ensuring room readiness.
• Monitor resident conditions and provide timely clinical interventions when needed.
• Ensure completion of narcotic counts, emergency equipment checks, and safety protocols.
