Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI, is seeking a registered nurse for night shift with 36 hours per week (3-12s, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), including weekends and holidays as needed. The role focuses on lifelong care, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing within a large health system.

The nurse will provide direct patient care, supervise staff, participate in quality improvement, and serve as a role model and preceptor for new graduates.

Qualificações

• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Rhode Island required.
• NIHSS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Annual continuing stroke education required (8 hours).

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads and delegates with nursing/ancillary staff.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness and identifies improvements.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family, and community services on discharge planning.
• Assesses patient and family teaching needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Uses resources to provide quality, cost-effective care.
• Meets credentialing standards and mandatory safety education.
• Precepts new graduate nurses and less experienced personnel.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
