Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Texas seeks a Registered Nurse for night shifts to assess, plan, and deliver direct patient care on assigned units, supervise staff, and support the Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe care.

You will administer medications, coordinate care using the nursing process, respond to emergencies per hospital policy, and ensure infection control standards are followed. A state nursing license and CPR/BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by policy.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice nursing in the state
• Nursing degree and certifications required
• Experience in acute care preferred
• CPR/AHA BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to safety, risk management, QI, and infection control standards to discharge patients with optimum care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Fulfill all HICS responsibilities during emergencies and disasters as directed.
• Know and follow hospital emergency codes and related policies.
