Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time night shift in Texas. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, administering medications per protocol, and documenting patient history and treatment outcomes.

The nurse will assess and educate patients and families, addressing diverse psychosocial needs within the care team framework. The position requires a BSN (preferred), RN license in Texas (or compact), and ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BSN preferred.
• At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS certification required; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identifies issues and resources.
