Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process, assess and plan care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. You will coordinate care across hospital departments and act as a patient safety advocate.

The role requires an active nursing license, BLS certification, and an Associate or Diploma in Nursing with BSN preferred. The schedule includes 36 hours weekly, 7p–7:30a, with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS Basic Life Support (AHA) at hire for Roper St Francis locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH.
• Valid nursing license from the state of practice is required.
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments and analyzes data to plan care.
• Administers medications safely according to policies and procedures.
• Coordinates patient care and serves as a point of contact for care coordination across departments.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and promotes patient safety.
