Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse for night shifts at our facility in York County, PA. The RN will deliver patient care, lead care coordination, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires a RN license, BSN preferred, and 0–2 years of experience. A strong emphasis on teaching patients and families, patient safety, and adherence to care standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state where the facility is located or in a state with a licensure compact.
• BSN preferred for this role.
• Zero to two years of nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS/CPR certifications preferred per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
• Provides teaching to patients and families during episodes of care and transitions to home or other care settings.
• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and governance efforts.
• Maintains comprehensive patient documentation to support care coordination.
