Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery to join our team at Community Medical Center in New Jersey. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, and strong collaboration with physicians within an EPIC EMR environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NJ RN license with BLS and be prepared to obtain ACLS and NRP within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP within 3 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions and post-discharge care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to enhance communication and outcomes.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladders.
