Job summary

UNM Hospital seeks a registered nurse for Labor and Delivery on the Nights shift. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, lead teams, and support preceptor roles as assigned. Care spans neonatal to geriatric populations as required.

Responsibilities include documenting care plans, ensuring safety, and coordinating with the healthcare team for discharge planning and patient teaching. A strong emphasis on adherence to policies and quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing program.
• Nationally accredited nursing graduate.
• RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients.
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with tests and procedures; obtain proper consent.
• Participate in orientation; preceptor training and evaluation of new personnel.
• Assist with emergency measures and document clinical findings.
