Job summary

Advent Health Celebration is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join the Labor and Delivery Unit on a Night shift. The role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, creating and updating individualized care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and families.

Collaboration with the medical team and precise documentation are essential for delivering exceptional obstetric care.

Qualifications

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced unit.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Ability to work as a team player in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
