Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery in Edison, NJ. This part-time, night-shift role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include data collection, age- and disease-specific assessments, planning and implementing care, and administering medications with barcode systems. NJ RN license and BLS/CPR required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or Nurse Residency Program participation.
• Current RN license in New Jersey and BLS/CPR certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.

Education

ASN or Diploma in Nursing

BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years
