Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room on the evening shift at White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD. This role focuses on delivering safe patient care and mentoring others.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RN experience, a Maryland nursing license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. The position offers full-time hours, nonrotating shifts, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
Current Maryland State nursing license.
Active BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP as required.

Responsibilities

Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice.
