Job summary
Mount Carmel Health System is hiring Registered Nurses for the Mount Carmel East Labor and Delivery unit in Columbus, OH. We have opportunities for both new graduates and experienced nurses who want to connect with our team and grow professionally.
The Staff RN provides patient-centered care using the Nursing Process, with a focus on high-risk obstetric patients, cesarean deliveries, trauma cases and antepartum care, while collaborating with providers and the care team.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Ohio RN license in good standing.
- BLS/CPR certification current.
- Proven ability to plan, organize and manage patient care.
- Experience with electronic health records is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor assigned patients using evidence-based care.
- Assist in examinations, procedures and treatments as directed.
- Administer medications per policies and guidelines.
- Respond to emergencies and support the care team.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses and care plans.
- Document care and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
