Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH, is seeking Registered Nurses for multiple openings at Mount Carmel East. We offer a 12-hour night shift with a patient-centered care approach and opportunities for both new graduates and experienced nurses.

As a Staff RN, you will deliver care using the Nursing Process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support new mothers and infants in a Baby-Friendly environment with lactation consultants and 24-hour rooming-in.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care; delegate and supervise others.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, with evidence-based practice.
• Administer medications per provider instructions and organizational guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and diagnoses.
• Document assessments and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Coordinate care and accountability with other licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate.
