Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antenatal and Post-Partum patients. You will apply the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and supervise LPNs, unit assistants, and CNAs.

This 24-hour weekly position shifts 7pm–7am, with duties aligned to hospital policies and state Nurse Practice Act. Candidates must have LA RN licensure, BLS, and perquisites include ILCOR courses and fetal

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Registered Nursing Program.
• One year labor and delivery experience preferred.
• Current LA RN licensure and active status.
• BLS required on hire; ALS/NRP preferred and to be obtained within 3 months.
• ILCOR-approved courses with manikin check-off required for certification
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within 3 months and updated every 2 years.
