Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients and supervise LPNs, UAs, and CNAs. You will work within the nursing process, following hospital policies and procedures and supporting department and hospital goals.

The role requires LA RN licensure, BLS certification on hire, and strong computer skills. ACLS is encouraged, with EKG knowledge encouraged within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Louisiana RN licensure.
• BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association).
• ACLS encouraged; Basic EKG encouraged within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients using nursing process.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Follow hospital policies and nursing standards in performance of duties.
