Job summary

Qualifications

• Board Certified RN license required in Louisiana.
• Minimum 1 year labor/delivery experience.
• BLS required on hire; ALS and NRP preferred within 3 months.
• ILCOR-certified courses accepted; must include manikin check-off.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring within 3 months of hire and updated every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antepartum and Post-Partum (couplet) patients.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Follow the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Support the goals and objectives of the department and hospital.
