Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor and Delivery Unit on a full-time night shift (3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.).

This role emphasizes safe, compassionate, patient- and family-centered care for women and newborns. The RN will perform thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and mentor team members while collaborating with physicians and allied staff in a dynamic obstetric

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school; if RN has ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years.
• Minimum 1 year RN clinical experience in acute care.
• BLS certification required at start; ACLS/PALS as applicable within defined timelines.
• Licensed or eligible for Virginia RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and develops care priorities.
