Job summary

Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for Women Infant Services, OB Delivery and Birth Center. You will work night shifts (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), with a 36-hour weekly schedule, providing nursing care across delivery, recovery, antepartum, and postpartum units.

The role emphasizes patient/family-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and adherence to Corewell Health policies. Requires RN licensure in Michigan and relevant obstetric experience.

Qualifications

• RN must have RN licensure in Michigan (or eligible) and meet nursing education requirements.
• Certification in BLS is required by hire; NRP and EFM certifications preferred within stated timeframes.
• Advanced obstetric nursing experience is preferred; new grads with L&D immersion may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per ANA standards in the Birth Center and obstetric units.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge care with patient/family involvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe delivery and postpartum care.

Education

Associates in Nursing Required

Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years

NCLEX licensure examination (for non-accredited schools)

MI Registered Nurse (RN) required

BLS (AHA/ARC/Canadian Heart and Stroke) required

NRP within 6 months

EFM Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year

Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years

L&D RN experience preferred
