Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU) to work nights at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week with shift hours 7:00pm–7:30am and every other weekend.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, communicate with the care team, and educate patients and families. The position requires an Associate's degree or BSN, IL licensure, and American Heart Association CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and care team in person, by phone and in writing.
• Tailors patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating nursing practice quality and effectiveness through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
