Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit on nights at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers a 36-hour week with shift times from 7:00pm to 7:30am and every other weekend.

No travel required and a comprehensive benefits package is provided. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, effective communication with patients and families, and ongoing nursing practice improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collects health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
