Job summary

Selah House Indiana is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide general medical care to clients under the supervision of the Director of Nursing in a residential treatment setting for adolescent and adult women with eating disorders.

The role requires comprehensive nursing assessments at intake, administering medications, reviewing records, and maintaining a clean, safe environment while supporting clients through treatment and discharge planning. Night shift, full-time opportunities available.

Qualifications

Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of Nursing or higher.
Current Indiana Nursing License (RN or LPN) required.
1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

Completes comprehensive nursing assessments during intake and assists in developing treatment plans.
Administers medications per physician’s orders and refills as needed.
Records concerns and observations in medical records and communicates with Medical Director.
Assists clients with environmental adaptation, providing social and emotional support.
Updates and reviews treatment plans weekly and maintains shift hand-off information.
Maintains clean, sanitary environment and adheres to universal precautions.
Leads Health and Wellness group sessions as needed.
Supports discharge planning and daily teaching of clients.
