Job summary

Selah House Indiana is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide nursing care for adolescent and adult women in an inpatient, residential, and PHP setting. The role supports the medical team under the Director of Nursing, with shifts including nights and weekends.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, maintain records, and assist with discharge planning in a compassionate, home-like environment dedicated to clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of Nursing or higher.
• Current Indiana Nursing License (RN or LPN).
• 1-year clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments at intake to inform treatment plans.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Record complaints and observe behaviors for Medical Director.
• Collect labs and report findings to Medical Director.
• Provide social and emotional support while maintaining professionalism.
• Update treatment plans and privileges weekly.
• Ensure clean, sanitary Nurses’ Station and universal precautions.
• Secure medications and medical records; control access.
• Ensure safe work conditions and report issues.
• Document accurately and maintain daily logs.
• Attend trainings and lead Health and Wellness groups as needed.
• Ensure proper shift hand-off and coverage protocols.
• Assist with discharge planning and client teaching.
