Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Bone Marrow Transplant - Inpatient Oncology Unit. This full-time night-shift role includes rotating weekends and reports to physicians and nursing leadership to deliver high-quality patient care.

Required qualifications include graduation from an approved nursing program, Texas RN license (NLC/BNE) and BLS; 1 year RN experience; English fluency.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program; English literacy required.
• Experience: 1 year RN experience; specialty areas may require more as dictated by unit/standards.
• Licenses & Certifications: Texas RN license (NLC/BNE) and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive nursing assessments for patients of all ages.
• Develop and implement plan of care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Document interventions accurately and timely; coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Prioritize nursing interventions and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Educate patients and families; discharge planning and follow-up education.
