UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Unit. The role is inpatient, with full-time night shifts and rotating weekends.

The nurse will deliver comprehensive bedside care and collaborate with physicians, APNs, and the nursing leadership to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, active Texas RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program (Texas BON 217.1); must read, write and communicate in English.
• 1 year of RN experience; specialty areas may require more experience as dictated by unit or standard of care.
• Current Texas nursing license (NLC or BNE) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA/ARC.

Responsabilités

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments across age groups.
• Develops an appropriate care plan using assessment data and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions and documents care plans and changes promptly.
• Maintains compliance with hospital/Nursing policies and ANA standards; participates in evidence-based practice.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the health care team; provides education and discharge planning.
