Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes and compassionate support for patients and families.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, medication administration, education, and adherence to infection control. Eligible for a $30K sign-on bonus with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure (state or compact) required; BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and organizational policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reports changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, documents administration.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency and scope.
• Collaborates with the health care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
