Adventist HealthCare's Fort Washington Medical Center in Maryland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical unit. You will educate patients and families, model best practices for Level I nurses, and ensure care plans align with patient needs while leveraging technology and evidence-based methods.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX exam.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources for best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population and changes in condition.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in evidence-based practice changes.
