Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an RN House Supervisor for Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. This full-time, nights shift role oversees clinical operations across the hospital and serves as the administrative liaison when management is off-site.

You will ensure staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination run smoothly, with direct involvement in emergency interventions and shift reporting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license required.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Intervene in emergencies including codes, Rapid Response, or behavioral escalations.
• Monitor patient flow; supervise bed availability and admissions/discharges.
• Coordinate inter-unit transfers and work with ED, ICU, and med-surg units to avoid bottlenecks.
• Manage staffing by evaluating unit needs, census, acuity, and absences; allocate float or agency support.
• Prepare shift reports and document critical incidents and safety concerns.
• Oversee hospital operations during shifts in absence of admin leadership; ensure quality care and staff coordination.
