Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Antenatal & High‑Risk Postpartum Unit at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant and postpartum patients, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient‑centered outcomes.

The role requires a BSN (or equivalent) and current NC licensure, with a night shift schedule of 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience (1+ years) as a clinical nurse is required.
• Graduation from an accredited BSN program. Exception: RNs hired earlier may enroll in BSN within set timeframes.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care using the nursing process.
• Deliver high‑acuity care for pregnant and postpartum patients in a high‑risk unit.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to support maternal and fetal outcomes.
• Night shift - 12 hour shifts, full time.
