Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking an Experienced RN for the Labor and Delivery Unit. The RN will provide and supervise nursing care for antenatal and postpartum patients during night shifts.

Requirements include 12 months of clinical nursing experience, a BSN (or ADN/Diploma) and NC RN licensure with BLS. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of clinical nursing experience required.
• BSN degree or higher required; ADN or Diploma acceptable.
• Must have current North Carolina RN licensure; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care for patients.
• Utilize the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support maternal and fetal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.
