Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Night shift Registered Nurse for the Geriatric Psychiatry unit. The RN delivers quality nursing care using the nursing process and collaborates with the healthcare team to uphold professional standards.

Schedule features 7pm to 7:30am with 72 hours per bi-weekly pay period, including weekend work. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and delivering care, evaluating responses, and ensuring patient/family centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.
• Experience working in Long Term Care, Memory, or Alzheimer’s Care, or Geriatric Psych unit.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
