Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neurology Oncology unit (7W LAN). The role involves delivering nursing care, assessing patients, and teaching within the unit guidelines.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing patient care plans, coordinating with ancillary staff, and adhering to hospital policies. Shift is nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, full-time with bi-weekly scheduling considerations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months for RNs in Critical Care, Emergency, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, ICU and Step-Down; NRP for Labor and Delivery; PALS for Pediatrics; PALS and TNCC within one year for Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
