Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. The role requires a valid NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience a plus.

The RN will provide bedside care on night shifts, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure safe transitions of care.
