UNC Health's Rex Staffing Response Team (SRT) is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time night shift in Acute Medicine/Surgery Care. The role floats between UNC REX Raleigh and Holly Springs campuses, providing seamless coverage across units based on staffing needs.

We value flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to learning. Requirements include graduation from a professional nursing program, NC RN license, BLS, and at least one year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Education: Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care: Identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in evaluation with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation: Demonstrates competent care of patients with complex problems and prioritizes care.
• Leadership: Participates in unit goals, communication, and cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment: Assesses data to determine priorities for care and discharge needs.
• Planning: Collaborates on the plan of care with the patient/family.
• Research: Reads journals and brings ideas to the staff for assessment.
