Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 1 East Observation Unit on the night shift. This on-site role focuses on short-term monitoring, diagnostic testing, and timely interventions to support discharge or admission when indicated.

Qualified candidates will have a Nursing Diploma/ADN, Virginia compact or VA RN license, CPR, ACLS, and preferred BSN/MSN. 1 year FT or 2 years PT telemetry/step-down experience is expected; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Nursing Diploma and/or ADN

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in the Observation Unit (1 East) per standards
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team for timely discharge or admission
• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy per hospital policy
• Educate patients and families on care plans and safety measures
• Document care and ensure patient safety according to policies
