Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking a night shift Patient Care Technician to support progressive care/telemetry units in Fishersville, VA. Under RN supervision, you will assist nurses and staff, help with bathing, feeding, vital signs, phlebotomy, and EKGs to ensure safe patient care.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent; Virginia CNA preferred; RN program clinical rotations and prior acute care experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CNA in Virginia preferred.
• Completion of 1st semester of clinical rotations in an RN program preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a registered nurse, assist unit staff nurses and clerical staff to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care.
• Includes bathing, dressing and feeding of patients, performing vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs.
