Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit – 1 East to provide care for short-term monitoring, diagnostic testing, or therapies, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to accelerate diagnostics and expedite treatment. The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Diploma or ADN, an RN license, CPR and ACLS; BSN/MSN preferred.

One year full-time or two years part-time telemetry or PCU experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and a commitment

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or ADN required.
• Current RN license in Virginia or Compact state.
• CPR and ACLS certifications required; BSN/MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients needing short-term monitoring and diagnostic testing.
• Accelerate diagnostics and expedite treatment for timely discharge or transfer.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team and ensure patient safety.
• Administer medications per policy, perform IV starts and phlebotomy.
• Educate patients and families about plan of care and follow-up.
