Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit - 1 East. Shifts include rotating, day, and night with a sign-on bonus eligibility.

The role focuses on short-term monitoring, rapid diagnostics, and coordinated care to expedite safe discharge or transfer to inpatient services. You will work in a multidisciplinary team, require an RN license for Virginia (or a compact state), CPR and ACLS, with ADN/Diploma required and BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or ADN required.
• Current RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
• CPR and ACLS certifications required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• 1 year FT or 2 years PT telemetry/step-down/PCU experience.
• ED/ICU/Observation unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate diagnostics and initiate timely treatment interventions.
• Coordinate care through interdisciplinary services as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
• Provide patient education appropriate to age and knowledge level.
