UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking a Night Shift Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department in Seattle. The role focuses on coordinating patient flow, directing staff, and acting as a clinical resource during high-acuity cases.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent RN experience in an Emergency Department.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow during shifts.
• Communicate changes in patient acuity.
• Assign resources to match patient needs.
• Direct and coordinate activities of unit staff.
• Serve as clinical resource and consultant in difficult situations.
• Follow infection control, safety, and PPE protocols.
• Minimise safety risks by following defined protocols.
• Participate in emergency management initiatives.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff and support team-based care.
• Support patient satisfaction and service initiatives.
