Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Jersey City Medical Center's Emergency Services - Bayonne department. This role supports comprehensive nursing care, patient advocacy, and rapid response in a high-energy emergency setting.

The RN will work night shifts on a rotating schedule, contribute to interdisciplinary rounds, and uphold clinical excellence across the care continuum. The position requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS certification, and EPIC EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families.
• Accurately document care in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure safe transitions of care.
