Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our ED - Admission Holds team. Our fast-paced ED at Memorial Hermann is part of a level 1 trauma center, academic/teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital within the Texas Medical Center. Work in our large ED space with team-oriented staff to care for adult med/surg and IMU patients awaiting inpatient bed assignments.

BSN RN with 2+ years ED/IMU or Med Surg experience preferred. Shift: Nights 7p-7a.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Bachelors of Nursing preferred
• RN licensure in Texas or compact license
• BLS certification required
• Experience in ED/IMU/adult med-surg preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and documents patient care.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Supports department goals and professional growth; mentors staff.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and high service standards
