The role emphasizes safety, patient satisfaction, and collaborative care with physicians and the health care team. Ideal candidates possess a BSN or are graduates of an accredited nursing program, with Texas RN licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• BSN preferred; graduate from accredited School of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions in patient care delivery.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes based on data and professional standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops/implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in ongoing evaluation of programs and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and Memorial Hermann standards; maintains patient-centered service and safety.
• Acts as preceptor or mentor to less experienced staff.
• Provides compassionate, personalized care and models Memorial Hermann service standards.
