Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the ED - Admission Holds team. The role is a night shift (7p-7a) in a fast-paced ED within a level 1 trauma center, academic facility, and Magnet-designated hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

You will care for adult med/surg and IMU patients awaiting inpatient bed assignments, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care per the nursing process and patient needs.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and plans for patient discharge/transfer.
• Supports patient safety, documentation, education and quality of care.
• Precepts and mentors other staff as needed.
