Job summary

Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to work the night shift within the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). The TCU is embedded in and adjacent to the ED, with a split flow model that allows emergency services to continue delivering care while a patient is handed off to the TCU RN.

The role requires BSN or in pursuit, 2 years RN experience, BLS/ACLS, and NJ RN license. May float to med surg or rehab units; scheduling includes 7PM-7AM on weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required or in pursuit
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry/Med Surg, Critical Care, ED experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
• Active NJ RN license required
• National Nursing Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• The TCU TEAM provides high quality, continuous nursing care to patients who have been admitted but remain in the ED while awaiting an inpatient bed.
• This role ensures safe, efficient, and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment, bridging emergency and inpatient services.
• May float to any med surg or rehab unit.
