Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care: Rapid Response Team. The shift is 7pm–7am, totaling 24 hours per week across 6 FTE for the unit.

The RN will apply the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality of care. Expect ongoing professional development and adherence to EHR documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services; multi-state compact may apply.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols; participate in professional development and maintain licenses.
