Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Critical Care Rapid Response and Code Registered Nurse for night shifts in the ICU. This part-time role is 24 hours weekly with a sign-on bonus eligible for external candidates.

The nurse will assess and stabilize acutely deteriorating inpatients, coordinate care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure rapid escalation when needed. Indiana RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Current Indiana or compact RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.
• NIHSS Stroke Certification required.
• CCRN Certification required (within 1 year).
• NRP Certification required (within 1 year).
• Minimum of one year of critical care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate clinical response, assessment, stabilization, and care coordination for acute deterioration events.
• Support bedside staff, providers, respiratory therapy, and other partners to promote early recognition of decline and timely intervention.
• Escalate to a higher level of care when indicated and coordinate patient transfers when needed.
