Job summary

The Department of Corrections - Clinical and Correctional Services in Rapid City, SD is hiring a Registered Nurse for the night shift at the New Rapid City Women's Correctional Facility. You will provide skilled nursing care in multiple clinic settings and maintain inmate medical records with confidentiality.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and other providers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid RN license from the SD Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

Responsibilities

• Documents in accurate and timely manner to provide comprehensive inmate medical records.
• Transcribes reports at change of shifts.
• Provides standard patient education within nursing guidelines.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and confidentiality in a correctional clinic setting.
• May assist physicians and mid-level providers with procedures.
• Operates clinic equipment and maintains inventory.
