The South Dakota Department of Corrections is seeking a Registered Nurse for an as-needed position in Sioux Falls, SD. This role requires at least two years of RN experience and an active RN license (SD or eNLC).

The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care, maintain inmate medical records, and assist with procedures as needed. Assignements may include night/weekend shifts; candidates must pass background checks and drug screens, and will operate within infection control and safety

Qualificações

• Must have at least two years of RN experience.
• Applicant must possess a current, valid RN license (SD Board of Nursing or eNLC participating state).
• eNLC licensure is accepted.

Responsabilidades

• Documents in an accurate and timely manner to provide comprehensive inmate medical records.
• Transcribes reports at change of shifts.
• Provides standardized patient education within established nursing guidelines.
• Preserves confidentiality.
• Provides physical care and treatments, administers medications, collaborates on treatment plans, and employs infection control measures.
• Assists physicians and nurse practitioners with minor medical procedures.
• Ensures ordering and restocking of medications and supplies.
• Operates a variety of clinical equipment.
