Job summary

Department of Corrections in Rapid City, SD is seeking an RN for the Night Shift at the New Rapid City Women's Correctional Facility. You will provide skilled nursing care to incarcerated offenders, document medical records, and assist in treatments and procedures.

licensure must be current in SD or an eNLC state, with strong communication and confidentiality. Full state benefits, SDRS retirement, and a demanding but supportive environment are included.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license from SD Board of Nursing or eNLC participating state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inmate medical records and document care.
• Transcribe reports at shift changes.
• Provide patient education within nursing guidelines.
• Administer medications and participate in treatment plans.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with procedures.
• Ensure medication and supply restocking and security.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to supervisors.
