Job summary

Health First in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time evening shift to provide direct and in-direct patient care, following the nursing process in a collaborative environment. You will promote optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, care coordination, and patient/family engagement.

The position requires ASN or nursing diploma with Florida RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be preferred.

Qualifications

• ASN or nursing diploma with RN licensure in Florida.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS often preferred.
• New graduates may be considered based on unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective nursing care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs across the care continuum.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care activities per Health First policies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning.
• Applies critical thinking to promptly identify changes in patient condition and initiate interventions.
• Educates patients and families using teach-back to promote engagement and safe transitions.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection prevention practices to protect patients and Associates.
• Uses Health First technology systems to enter clinical documentation and care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and High Reliability Organization initiatives.
• Supports precepting, mentoring, and onboarding of new Associates and students as appropriate.
• Promotes a culture of purpose, rounding, and bedside communication.
